Gordy returns from Languedoc..

As some of you may or may not know, our head sommelier Gordy has just returned from France after spending two weeks in Languedoc this summer. His description of his time there was rather brief but it seems the pictures speak louder than words anyway and there are some great ones! Enjoy!

“Here are some pictures from my trip to the Languedoc. I was there for 2 weeks working as a cellar hand. I was at a large co-op that makes a lot of entry level wines to a good standard. I worked in the cellar for 12 days straight starting at 5.00am every morning. It was absolutely brilliant to see how most of the wine in the world is made. I can bang on about single vineyard and tiny yields yadayadayada… but this is how most wine is made, by a small group of dedicated people working incredibly hard for not a great reward”.
