Cornwall Foundation
of Promise
Fifteen Cornwall is owned by the Cornwall Foundation of Promise (CFoP), registered charity no.1119341.The foundation was set up specifically to run the training programme at Fifteen Cornwall and exists to inspire disadvantaged young people in Cornwall and to help them believe that they can create great careers for themselves. CFoP owns the restaurant and takes all of the profits to run the programme.
CFoP provides unique opportunities for young people to learn about the hospitality and catering industry through training and practical experience. College learning is supplemented by real-world experience through placements and central to all of that is the 12 months that the apprentices spend in the Fifteen Cornwall kitchen.
CFoP mirrors the inspiration of the Fifteen Foundation set up by Jamie Oliver, and Fifteen Cornwall is now operating as its flagship enterprise at Watergate Bay. Jamie remains the inspirational figurehead of Fifteen, but is not part of the day to day running of the restaurant. There is a dedicated team here who do that very successfully!
Since May 06, CFoP has enrolled over 80 apprentices onto the Fifteen programme, and although they don’t all make it to graduation, the foundation works seamlessly with the restaurant to help them make the most of themselves. All we are looking for is promise!
