Fifteen Cornwall Spring Farmers' Market

Our spring farmers’ market is booked in for Saturday 27th March and as usual it’s right here in the Extreme Academy car park right in front of the restaurant.

New to the Fifteen Cornwall stall this year, we will be offering you our delicious haddock chowder, signature antipasti (which includes an outstanding selection of beautifully dressed seasonal vegetables, the biggest olives, superb cured meats and cheeses) and for the first time ever, we’ll actually be selling Cornish pasta which is made from durum wheat grown near Padstow…now that’s special.Try it with some of our wild garlic pesto!

As well as all our regular suppliers, we’re welcoming some new faces and products to our market this year. Gara Barton who will be selling venison, Larsen’s with their organic herbal infusions and if you fancy something a bit ‘naughty’ then head over to Deluxe Cornwall’s stand for a mini high tea! Yep, they’re bad but soooo good - homemade scones with clotted cream and rhubarb jam and crostini of smoked Cornish mackerel pate. Mmmmm! There will be loads of other yummy food to enjoy whilst you’re here too, like fantastic lemon sole goujons, steamed mussels and Cornish sardines and mackerel all courtesy of our fish supplier Matt Stevens.

From 9.30am you can watch cookery demos from Ollie Clarke of Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, Neil Haydock, now Executive Chef of The Hotel, Watergate Bay (yes – he’s left us, but we’re pleased he’s still in the Bay!) and our own Head Chef Andy Appleton, showing you what you can do with all the fantastic ingredients in your own home!

Wild Food Walks

Caroline Davey, professional ecologist and forager from Fat Hen in West Cornwall (www.fathen.org) will be running 45 minute wild food walks from our farmers market on Sat 27th. If you’ve ever wondered which of the weeds, seaweeds and wild plants that surround us are edible and are interested in discovering more about the source of our food then book onto one of Caroline’s walks.

Walks run from: 10am, 11am and 12pm £5 per person/ maximum 12 people per group
