How long have you been working at Fifteen Cornwall?
I started a couple of weeks before the restaurant opened so I really hit the ground running!
What are your responsibilities?
On a day to day basis I look after the general marketing activities and media enquiries for the restaurant. I work with most people from all areas of the business throughout the year, particularly our designer and Exec Chef Neil.
Describe briefly, a typical day at work:
My day in the office will always start with me checking my emails. Having dealt with them, I’ll then be getting on with whatever needs doing at the time. This could be working with our designer to update the website, advise on new flyers, leaflets or other promotional material etc, writing copy, dealing with media enquiries and organising interviews (usually the media like to speak to our Exec Chef or the apprentices), organising visits to the restaurant or events, attending meetings etc.
One of the great things about my job is that it’s quite varied…..although I am in the office most of the time, I also get out and about a lot throughout the year, attending events and even visiting Italy a couple of times. Along with the graduation of our apprentices each year, that’s certainly been a highlight of my job so far!
