Fifteen Cornwall’s lunch offer is back and now includes Saturdays
After a short break at the end of October, Fifteen Cornwall’s seasonal £24 lunches return in November, and now include Saturdays.
The lunch offer, will run each week Monday to Saturday, from 2 to 27 November. The menus continue to showcase the fantastic seasonal produce that is available at this time of year. For many customers it also provides an opportunity to experience fantastic value for money, with platefuls of flavours sourced from across the county, with a hint of Italy.
For £24 per person, lunchtime guests will enjoy three courses of Italian-inspired, beautifully made food all served with a stunning beachside backdrop of Watergate Bay.
The menus at Fifteen Cornwall change daily, and the autumn lunch menu is no exception. The dishes available are dependent on what is delivered to the kitchen by the restaurant’s many local suppliers, so diners are guaranteed a choice of something new and different on each visit. This provides the perfect excuse to not just visit once, but come back again and make the most of this seasonal offer.
Fifteen Cornwall’s head chef, Andy Appleton, said: “I love this time of year, as we start featuring warmer dishes on the menu.
“I am excited about chestnuts arriving as they are really versatile and can be used in both desserts and savoury dishes. Cime di rape, or ‘turnip tops’, are an Italian winter favourite, characterised by their strong bitter taste. Porcini mushrooms will also be coming into the kitchen for autumn and will feature too.”
Favourite dishes for this time of year include: salami Milano with chargrilled squash and chestnuts for starters; or main courses of wood-fired Cornish chicken, inzimino di ceci (chickpeas with Swiss chard) andsalmoriglio; and ricotta gnocchi ‘alla Norma’ with Vulscombe goats cheese.
For pudding, Amalfi lemon and poppy seed cake, lemon curd and clotted cream; or vanilla bean panna cotta, poached plums and shortbread.
The Autumn lunches run from 2 to 27 November 2015. Available Monday to Saturday lunchtimes only, priced at 3 courses for £24 per person.
