The next couple of weeks see our apprentices flying the nest as they take on new roles for their work experience placements. Each year in March our apprentices carry out a 4 week placement where they hope to broaden their knowledge and gain experience in a different working environment. Our apprentices are welcomed by numerous restaurants to complete their work experience from all over the country. This year being no exception, here is a taste of some of the restaurants our apprentices will be working in this year:
Gidleigh Park, Gwel An Mor, The Vineyard, River Cafe, Seagrass, Bowood, Flying Boat Club, One Eyed cat, Donnington Valley, Bustophers, Paul Ainsworth’s Number 6, Jamie’s Italian Bristol, Terre a Terre.
Work experience allows our apprentices to experience a different kitchen and diverse cuisines whilst also meeting new people. It provides invaluable experience which completes part of the package our apprenticeship provides.
We are also coming up to the eagerly anticipated graduation ceremony which will be taking place in April this year – more updates on this to follow. Meanwhile Cohort 7 are waiting in the wings at Camborne College and nearing completion of their VRQ1.
