Fifteen Friday Faces- Marie and Ruby
“My title is Group Financial Controller (always reminds me of Thomas the Tank engine)…..so pretty much me and my little team look after the numbers.”
What do you do when you are not at Fifteen Cornwall?
“I love to horse ride (have my own horse called Jess), surfing, walking the crazy spaniel. I also love cooking for friends and family…..oh and I play piano.”
“How was your first day at Fifteen Cornwall?
“Ha it was so different to any other accountancy job I’ve ever had. I really had to break the habit of wearing a suit to work! It was great….but too long ago to remember any details other than the heels I chose to wear really didn’t work on the beach.”
Tell us about the best dish you have ever eaten at Fifteen…
“It has to be a dessert…..Semi freddo with raspberries and shortbread, oh and Ruby likes celery and sugar snap peas”
Tell us about your favourite drink?
“Prosecco cocktails with girlfriends.”
What would be your ‘Desert Island Disc’ (album)?
“Anything acoustic….love songs that tell stories.”
Who would you invite to your Last Supper?
“It has to be Morgan Freeman and John Cleese…..Mr Freeman could read me kids stories and Mr Cleese would just make me laugh!”
Finally, make us all laugh…
“So I asked my friends to come up with their best (most suitable) jokes (as I’m rubbish at them) The best one was Knock, knock…..Who’s there?……Dr.Whooooo! Ok there was another one……Why did the accountant cross the road?…….To bore the people on the other side”
