Happy New Year!
HAPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Well it’s back to work now after a lovely 2 week break. Hope you all had a fab Christmas and new year. I hear from our front of house staff and chefs that Christmas day and new year’s eve both went well and everyone had a great time. The girls looked gorgeous in their basques and feathers and the boys very handsome in belt and braces – ha ha!
Christmas was even more special for some of our staff, as we had two engagements over the Christmas period. Michael Mallet (a graduate from year one who is now a professional chef in the kitchen) asked his girlfriend Steph (also one of our pro chefs) to marry him whilst at work on Christmas day morning…….ah, how romantic…..she said ‘yes’!!! Also a big congrats to Jen from our reservations team and our pasta chef Jon who also got engaged over the Christmas period. Lots of love to all of you from your Fifteen Cornwall friends!
But it’s back to restaurant news now and we’re closed from this evening (4th Jan) for planned essential kitchen work which is all going well, despite the weather. We fully expect to be open again as planned for dinner on Saturday 9th Jan.
We’ve got our Tuscan lunches running from 11th January through to 12th February. We’re offering three courses for £19.50 and they are available from Monday – Friday and our Tuscan- inspired menu will use the best Cornish ingredients to create authentic dishes such as Ribolita, a classic Tuscan soup packed full of vegetables and thickened with bread, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, thick cut steak brushed with olive oil and char grilled and Panforte, a traditional Tuscan cake made with candied fruits, nuts and honey….mmmmm! We hope you can make it along.
That’s all for now.
