Fifteen Cornwall sparkles under the spire!
Last Friday saw our Fifteen Cornwall chefs cater for “Sparkle under the Spire” – a lavish dinner for over 300 people complete with performances by Truro Cathedral Choir and the Choral Scholars, organised by Lady Mary Holborow to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The event was raising funds for the Inspire Cornwall Appeal and was sponsored by Dairy Crest, First Great Western and Ginsters. Events management students at Cornwall College were also on hand to assist during the evening.
St Ives Bay spider crab, shaved Florence fennel, Amalfi lemon and Keveral Farm little leaves.
Slow roast shoulder of Jasper’s lamb with smashed herby Cornish earlies, Landrake asparagus and salsa verde.
A selection of Cornish cheese with crackers and rhubarb chutney.
Amedei chocolate caprese torte, strawberries from Mitchell fruit garden and Rodda’s clotted cream.
Truro Catherdral with all the tables laid out – soon to be decked out with Fifteen Cornwall “beach chic” decorations!
Everybody agreed that the food was delicious and the evening was a real success, raising £35,000 for the Inspire Cornwall Appeal! We were delighted to be involved and a huge thank you goes out to our chefs and front of house staff who all did us proud as usual!
