Surf Action come to the Bay!
Following the success of their last day with Surf Action, our apprentices had another opportunity this month to brush up on their skills in the surf.
Rich and the guys from Surf Action got everyone suited up before heading off down to the beach, this time at our very own Watergate bay. Before a quick limber up everyone was keen to get in the water, this time feeling a little more confident and eager to get started!
After an hour and a half or so, everyone headed in, for some it was the first time they managed to stand – however it was time for a refuel! We then pitched our spot on the crowded beach (being a lovely sunny day everyone was making the most of it!) and set up our gazebo. One of the chefs from Fifteen had kindly cooked up the world’s biggest lasagne to feed the hungry guys from Surf Action and our apprentices- all very well deserved.
The day finished off with some team building exercises in the lovely sunshine, which was out in full force by the afternoon. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable day and we even had the weather on our side! Thanks to Rich and the team at Surf Action and Active Plus, and thanks to the chefs at Fifteen for providing us with some good grub.
