Love is in the air at Fifteen Cornwall this February

This year Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday so there is plenty of opportunity to spread the love celebrate with friends and loved ones.

Fifteen Cornwall is kicking off the weekend with a ‘Cupid’s Carnivores Night’ on Friday 12 February.

Guests will start the evening with a glass of Prosecco or a Peroni (Italy’s finest beer), whilst sharing a board of authentic Italian antipasti. For the main course, the best Cornish steak will be cooked in Fifteen Cornwall’s Josper oven. The meal will conclude with a mix of sweet treats for dessert.

The Cupid’s Carnivores Night takes place for one night only. The menu is priced at £55 per head, and bookings must be made in advance. Vegetarian options are available, and group bookings are welcome.

For those who prefer to celebrate on the day, Fifteen Cornwall are hosting a Valentine’s Dinner on Sunday 14 February.

Indulge your other half, or enjoy a night out with friends, whilst tucking into the restaurant’s six course tasting menu. Dishes include Cornish rock oysters as part of a ‘seaside to share’ starter; agnolotti of short rib with lobster ragu; a choice of three main courses; and head chef Andy Appleton’s famous Amedei dark chocolate, salted caramel and blood orange torte.

Fifteen Cornwall’s signature six course tasting menu is priced at £75 per person, or £135 with the restaurant’s specially curated wine package.

Opened in May 2006, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall uses the magic of food to empower and inspire young people in Cornwall to become professional chefs. Owned by the Cornwall Food Foundation, Fifteen Cornwall aims to recruit 15-20 young people aged 16-24 each year to become the chefs of the future.

Cornwall Food Foundation inspires people in Cornwall through food to make meaningful change in their lives. An independent, registered charity it is best known for managing the Fifteen Cornwall Apprentice Programme and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall restaurant.

The Foundation also runs a successful schools programme which sees over 1,000 school children visit the restaurant and actively engages with 30 schools through the schools healthy eating programme. The Foundation is currently working on some exciting new projects that involve vocational training opportunities and engaging communities through food-related activities that focus on health, education and employment.
